Le Bon Pain

A true French bakery with the island’s best baguette, flaky croissants, pain au chocolat, and quiche. Good coffee and a quaint front porch to enjoy your breakfast while hens peck around the grounds below. Obviously, the eggs are fresh!

Mary’s Bakery

A local institution, Mary’s is a great spot for pastries and cheese pies for breakfast or bread and sandwiches for lunch. Ask the locals in line for their recommendations; everyone has a favorite in the bakery case. Eat-in or carry-out.

Gerrard’s Bakery

The best place to go for big breakfast variety – from French pastries to Pancakes to Eggs Benedict to breakfast burritos. Good coffee too. Sandwiches available for your picnic lunch.

Blanchard’s Beach Shack

The casual neighbor to Blanchard’s restaurant. Sandwiches, tacos, smoothies and beers with tables that sprawl out to the beach. Open lunchtime til’ 8pm. Beach chairs for rent for $2.

Ken’s Barbecue

Pork ribs and grilled chicken keep the locals lined up at this popular BBQ stand on The Strip. Take away or hang out on the picnic tables and dig in.

Uncle Ernie’s Beach Bar 

A casual lunch spot on the sand in Shoal Bay East, great ribs and sandwiches. Parking available and Beach chairs and umbrellas are too.

Nat’s Place – Palm Grove Grill

Order some crayfish and their amazing johnny cakes, then go out for a swim at the secluded beach here at Junk’s Hole. After an hour, your fresh seafood lunch will be ready and waiting for you at this funky beach shack.

Chef Ken has worked in kitchens in Tokyo, London, Moscow, Mauritius – and now Anguilla. His pan-asian cuisine with a Caribbean flair, at a mid-range price, is a great addition to the food scene here. Tuesday night is Ramen night!

Corner Bar Pizza

Just down the road from Calindius, join the locals ordering take-out pizza or grab a seat at the red-and-white-checked tables and dig in. The Seafood Pizza is a delicious Anguillan twist. And of course our best friend Claudius works here, so you know it’s good!

Papa Lash Food Van

For an inexpensive lunch to take out to the beach, friendly Papa Lash cooks up great sandwiches (with vegetarian options) and his famous Cheese Pizza Patty.

Bankie Banx’s Dune Preserve

Bankie Banx is a reggae legend in the Caribbean and tours yearly in the US as well. His Dune Preserve is a ‘treehouse for adults’ where you can eat, drink and listen to him jam on stage – sometimes with his son, up and coming talent Omari Banks.

The Viceroy

The Sunset Lounge makes for a nice spot to watch the sun go down with a fancy cocktail. This is a huge, sprawling, modern resort with an unbelievably long, palm-lined driveway leading to the Porte Cochere.
